Ingredients
Oreo Dirt Pudding Trifle
1 (14.3 oz) package Oreo cookies (I bought the 19.1 oz Family Size, but didn't use all of the cookies)
1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding
1 (3.9 oz) package instant vanilla pudding
3½ cups whole milk
8 oz full-fat cream cheese, room temperature
¼ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed (like Cool Whip)
Gummy worms
Directions
Oreo Dirt Pudding Trifle
Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor. Alternatively, you can place the cookies into a resealable plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together both boxes of pudding with the milk for about 2 minutes. Let the pudding sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
In a separate large bowl, use an electric handheld mixer, beat together the cream cheese and butter on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Reduce the speed to low and add the confectioners' sugar. Then gradually increase the speed to medium and beat until light and fluffy.
Using a rubber spatula, gently fold the cream cheese mixture into the pudding. Then gently fold in the whipped topping until completely incorporated.
For assembly, layer the dessert in a trifle bowl with alternating layers of crushed Oreos and pudding mixture, beginning and ending with the Oreos. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, then decorate with gummy worms just before serving.
