I used a bone shaped cookie cutter, though any shape can be used.
Ingredients
Peanut Butter Banana Dog Cookies
1 large banana, mashed (about ½ cup)
½ cup creamy peanut butter (natural peanut butter with no added sugar or salt is best for dogs)*
1 large egg
1 Tbsp honey
1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour
Directions
Peanut Butter Banana Dog Cookies
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients until a dough ball forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour.
Turn the dough ball out onto a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out to ¼-inch thickness. Cut the dough with a cookie cutter of your choice and place on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
*NOTE: Be sure to check your peanut butter for xylitol, which is extremely toxic to dogs.

I just made my fourth batch of these treats for my girls, an 18-month-old black Lab and a 4-year-old Vizsla, both rescues. They are great motivators and just I love you snacks! So easy for me and such a hit. We give them a snack in the morning including homemade treats and store-bought treats. Our Vizsla, Pennie, spits out the store bought until she's sure Mommy's yummies are gone, then she'll take the others!
